Jackson Hole, wyoming Engagement Shoot

K + H created their engagement pictures outside of an art gallery in their home city of Memphis, TN photographed by Mary Kate Steele.

For K’s hair, we chose to curl her hair tightly with a smaller curling iron and added her extensions in.

What is the benefit of having extensions for wedding day and/or leading up to the day? The benefit is the fullness added strategically with hair down, a ponytail, or half up, half down and longevity of curl pattern.

As a bridal specialist, I believe the hair needs to be 360 proof. Cute from the side, front AND the back. I focus on the shape of the side profile the most when creating our volume for even something as soft as leaving it all the way down.

For K’s makeup, she takes great care of her skin, making the makeup on top of it last longer and go on smoothly when applying.

When prepping for a wedding date, consult your esthetician for what kind of treatments are best at least 6 months out from the wedding date. My personal favorite before the wedding date is a hydrofacial which plumps the skin and hydrates it with a healthy glow. This is great for humidity, and hot or cold weather.

For K’s look, we chose natural tones, softer pink lips and opting for enhancing her features. This means little to no eyeliner, powder on her eyebrows, and choosing a satin lipstick topped with a gloss.

Natural tones tend to fade more subtly throughout the day, leaving you still looking fresh and wholly like the best version of yourself.

Did you know that you can group your Preview in with your engagement session to give yourself the best view of what you will look like for your wedding day? It also helps you envision just a teeny part of your dream day!

see y’all at the send off party for our destination wedding!

xoxo,

Char
